True Christian Faith We are born: a) dislocated from God b) with a disease that, without a cure, shall kill us eternally c) naturally preferring to stain our character than to keep it clean d) with an enemy that wants a,b,c to bring us to eternal death alongside him. God desires: a) that we have blotless character -- this is a prerequisite to being in His presence - where He wants us all to be in the next life b) to destroy our disease / cure it c) o change us so we do only good and no evil d) to destroy our enemy, along with htose who choose to remain His enemies God's answer is: a) Send precursors to prepare the world for His ultimate solution (as demonstrated in Old Testament writings) b) Remove our stains on our character by Christ's shed Blood -- something no amount of good works can do c) Implore us to trust the real person Jesus to i) clean us up ii) empower us to live through this life iii) Bring us into God's presence forever God's mandates are: a) Only shed blood can cleanse sin b) animal sacrifice is only a temporary solution c) trust in the person of Jesus -- both in His identity, and all that that identity entitles Him to in our lives -- and in His sacrifice as the *ONLY* means to cleanse our character -- realizing that we all are responsible for His death. --> God put Him in a place where we would *naturally* kill Him, and because He went through it, God gave Him a name that is higher than any other. Jesus, being God's Word, Who holds the universe together, is hurt by each sin anyone commits. This is why creation (or any land) expells (vomits out) those who remain in sin. Those who practice sin, God has labelled "enemies" -- since they are naturally living contrary (in direct opposition) to that which is good. -- This includes both unbelievers and unfaithful believers. It is only by true trust in God's love for me (in Christ) that I can escape condemnation to Hell. This trust is not a mere passive belief, but a continuous lifestyle which pursues God's will and lives in it. All those who refuse to properly follow Jesus shall perish. Faith in Jesus apart from a life that lies out that faith cannot save anyone from destruction. Only true faith that lives to love God in Christ shall be rewarded with eternal life. All those who place their faith in Jesus and His sacrifice for their sins shall enjoy within their inner selves a joy, peace, and triumph they couldn't even dream about before.. even sustaining them in extreme trial... for the true Kingdom of God lives within the hearts of those who trust in Jesus, and will bring all such people into a paradise of life when Jesus returns, returning once and for all to rule and reign as King over Creation.. His only superior being God, Himself.
